--UPDATED 10/11/17--

Established in 2012, Mush! Kennels has earned its reputation as one of the best Siberian husky breeders in DARPG.
We specialize in the Siberian husky as our primary focus breed and the Samoyed as our secondary focus. We strive to produce dogs who not only excel in the show ring, but also as working dogs and family companions. A sound conformation, temperament and workability are guarenteed in every one of our show progeny.

Mush! Kennels is a proud TKC Breeder of Merit + Assured Breeder.
All breedable dogs are TKC Health Tested and have met our below Breeder's Code of Ethics.

Breeding Rules -

1) Please check the breeding status of each dog before requesting a breeding. Statuses can be found on each dog's reference sheet in the "Browse" folders of Mush! Kennels' gallery folder, here.

2.) Your dog must meet Mush! Kennel's breeding requirements prior to being bred. These are located below in our Breeder's Code of Ethics section.  Inquirer's Note - The number (#) of achievements required may be greater for a breeding with a dog who is highly accomplished.

3.) Mush! Kennels requires that all puppies from our bloodline carry our prefix (M!K) or suffix (of Mush!) in their show names.

4.) When requesting a breeding, please comment below in this journal with a link to both dogs. I will note you about the decided breeding shortly after we end our first discussion through comment.

5.) We do not accept requests between two of our own dogs at this time. Those breedings will be decided by ChrizSplash.

6.) In order for you to receive a puppy from the litter, you will need to contribute in some way, shape or form. You may choose to draw a breeding picture, or design the puppies yourself. In some cases, I may want to design the litter. If this is the case, I will ask that (if the dam does not belong to me) she comes to Mush! Kennels and stays with us until the puppies are placed into their new homes.

7.) Whoever designs the litter will have first pick on one puppy. The co-breeder will have second pick on one puppy.

8.) Depending on the litter and the individual puppy, I may request or require a co-ownership. This will not only help you earn the puppy titles to its name, but will also give it more opportunities to be shown and to be drawn. Please note, however, that I will not be doing all the work in a co-ownership.

9.) A contract is required to be signed prior to bringing home a puppy, even if one of the parents belong to you. I may decide to change things up based upon private agreement, and this may be discussed through note.

10.) I may at any time deny a breeding if I feel that it will not be to the best interest of my bloodlines.

11.) By requesting a breeding, you agree that you have read and understand the rules mentioned above, have read our Puppy Sales Agreement and agree to all thereunder, and understand the method we use for raising and selling our puppies (described below).

Breeder's Code of Ethics -

As of the year 2015, the following Breeder's Code of Ethics is being followed by ChrizSplash.

Mush! Kennels strives to produce top quality Siberian huskies and Samoyeds. It is our great privilege to work with these wonderful breeds; our primary goal is to produce sound puppies that exceed expectations, not only in the show ring but as working dogs and family companions as well.

- We believe that it is every dog owner's responsibility to learn about the breed they are interested in before bringing a puppy home. Training and proper care is essential to responsible dog ownership, and we provide lifetime support to all puppy buyers.

- We adhere to the Official AKC Breed Standard of each breed, only breeding when we are looking for something to add to the Mush! bloodline. All show quality individuals are free of any faults or disqualifications, and, if under the age of eighteen (18) months, are sold under our Puppy Sales Agreement. All puppies born with faults/disqualifications are spayed/neutered and sold to pet or performance homes.

- We only breed dogs who are a minimum of two years of age, and no later than five years. Our Siberians and Samoyeds have a limited number of breedings in their lifetime, a majority being three for females and four for males. Artificial insemination services may be available for certain males, making some breedings greater.

- The temperaments of our dogs are very important to us here at Mush! Kennels. It is our duty to strive towards a dog pure to its breed standard, and a suitable temperament is no exception. We do not breed any dogs who are deemed to be inappropriately aggressive, shy, or flawed in temperament in accordance to their breed standard.

 - The quality of our breeding stock is very important to us and to our breeding program. As an attestation to this, we have several requirements for our dogs and all breeding partners that need to be met before a breeding is to take place.
While it is not absolutely required for both individuals to have earned their CH or GCH title with Kennel-Club, we highly recommend this for all breedings. This validates the authenticity of our breeding stock and that of the future; sires and dams can be seen for generations in a dog's pedigree, and we are eager to have the Mush! name remain a highly-respected one. In saying this, we take our dogs' achievements seriously. Their workability is equally-- if not more-- important as their show accomplishment history, and therefore we require that all dogs used for breeding under the Mush! Kennels name (both owned by us and by co-breeders) have at least two performance titles of highest leveling (SDU, OTCH...). All performance titles must be realistic for the breed.

- When it comes to breeding our dogs or providing others with information over our dogs/our breeds, we vow to be truthful and transparent with you. We are aware that it is necessary to educate about not only the positives, but also the negatives. This is the only real way that progress can be made.

- We will never allow any of our dogs to end up in animal shelters. It is our policy to have all dogs returned to us in the case that their current owner can no longer keep them. The individual will be rehomed to another show family, kept, or spayed/neutered and sold to a pet home.

How We Raise Our Puppies -

There are several critical stages a puppy goes through throughout its development. Here at Mush! Kennels, we understand this; and we work to raise our puppies so that they are fully prepared for whatever life throws at them.
We are strong advocates of Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a program that has been scientifically-backed in producing puppies with excellent stress thresholds. Mush! Kennels is proud to practice this program with each and every one of our Siberian husky and Samoyed litters.

Puppies are weaned at around four weeks of age and are introduced to solid food. We feed our dogs a wholesome raw diet, which includes raw meat and bones, as well as organic fruits and vegetables. Supplements are provided for dogs on an individual basis.

We let our puppies out into the big wide world in their fourth week, beginning their socialization with other dogs as well as guests. We make it a point to take the puppies out into the city to get them used to loud noises and unfamiliar places, faces too! They're socialized with people big and small, young and old... our puppies learn to love a smiling face, and really... who can resist a puppy? We find that people are all over them if given the chance!

Not only is socialization a big factor in the raising of our litters, it's training as well. We expose our puppies early on to things they will likely see later in life; clickers, sports equipment, even the loud environment of the show arena. Mush! Kennels hosts conformation and performance shows on a regular basis which makes it easy to start early with our babies. We are strict about participants' dogs being vaccinated, to prevent our puppies from potentially catching anything. They are kept to the side away from the busy areas but are still exposed to the hustle and bustle of the environment. This is typically done around eight weeks of age.

We do not allow our puppies to leave until they are twelve (12) weeks of age. Not only is it beneficial to keep siblings together longer, the lessons a puppy is taught while interacting with its siblings and mother are pivotal for a well-balanced animal later in life. This also allows us to begin house-training as well as basic obedience and conformation training.

All puppies are sold with a full show name and call name. Call names may be changed but we do not allow changes in show names whatsoever; we use these names to "mark" identification of a puppy to its litter and/or parents.
